  • School Events

Please see our school calendar for up-to-date school events.
  • Athletics

The IAAM announced their support of return to play for fall sport student-athletes. It will be an “Open Season” approach that provides member schools the opportunity to create student-athlete involvement and competition this fall.
There is still a great deal of work, communication, and coordination required for a full understanding of what this means for our Mount de Sales Academy fall student-athletes. With that acknowledged, we understand the important role athletics play in the lives of many of our students and their families and want to provide timely communication.
Families interested in learning more about fall sports (see list below), please join us on Wednesday, October 14, at 7 p.m. for a Zoom meeting (Invitation was sent to all current families) to learn what we know so far, what has to be determined, and provide some timeframe.
As with in-person learning, the health and safety of our community is the priority with clearly stated and enforced guidelines. This same approach will be applied to all athletic endeavors.

  • Travel

Please be advised that the CDC has issued guidelines for travel during this outbreak of COVID-19. We ask that, for the safety of your family and the MDSA community, you please adhere to these guidelines, which you can view here.

As per the Maryland Out of State Travel and Public Travel Advisory, the Maryland Department of Health recommends that all Marylanders returning from any state with a COVID positivity rate of 10% or higher (during the period of the stay) should get tested and self-quarantine at home until the test result is received.

Those traveling will be required to quarantine upon their return until such time as either they provide evidence of a negative test result for COVID-19 and are asymptomatic or they complete an entire 14-day quarantine.
The following website provides information regarding the positivity rate for all 50 states, UD Territories and popular international destinations.
