Coffee with Athletics

The Athletic Department is excited to invite interested MDSA parents to a morning "Coffee with Athletics" on Wednesday, January 7 at 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. in the Bird Room. This will be an opportunity to meet with the Athletic director, Assistant Athletic Director and Administration team to hear what’s new in Athletics as well as have the opportunity to ask questions. We are looking forward to you joining us for some coffee and treats.

Laying of the Wreaths - Arlington National Cemetery

The Support the Troops club visited Arlington National Cemetery over the weekend to lay wreaths at the gravesites of soldiers. They witnessed the “Laying of the Wreaths” ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. More than 40,000 volunteers placed 230,000 wreaths at gravesites throughout the cemetery honoring the brave men and women our country.

Fine Arts Assembly

The Mount de Sales Academy Fine Arts Assembly will be held on Thursday, December 18 at 10:45 a.m. in the Gym. Dancers, actors, singers, and musicians will come together to showcase their hard work and God-given talents with the students, faculty, and staff. This is a free event, and ALL are welcome to attend!

High School Placement Test

Reminder: if you pre-registered, print out your registration form and bring it with you! Walk-ins are welcomed! 8:30 a.m. - Check-in 9 a.m. - Test begins $40 cash fee. Bring two #2 pencils. Calculators are not permitted. In the event of inclement weather please tune to WBAL radio, TV or online for an announcement from the Archdioceses of Baltimore. Mount de Sales will post any cancellation on our website, in social media and on the school phone recording. An information session for parents will be offered in the Library while the test is taking place. Light refreshments.

Christmas Outreach

The spirit of Christmas was prevalent at Mount de Sales today as students wrapped gifts they collected for needy families in Baltimore City. Music filled the halls as carolers enhanced the festive mood. Each homeroom door was decorated and delicious treats were enjoyed by all. We are truly blessed with students, faculty and staff who understand the importance of Christian outreach. Thank you for your generous hearts!

January ACT Session Cancelled

The January ACT session has been cancelled. Registration for St. Catherine SAT PREP is open for the February session. There has now been a St. Catherine Summer Session scheduled as well which will be a five day intensive session that will begin and end with a full length pre and post SAT Test. Sips with Sisters

The next Sips with Sisters will be held on Tuesday, December 16. Hot chocolate, tea and coffee will be served to the students from 7:15-7:45 a.m. Our hope is to get donations so that we do not need to charge the students for this initiative.

Welcome Alison Kopreski

We are delighted to welcome our new junior-senior guidance counselor, Ms. Alison Kopreski. Ms. Kopreski previously worked as a counselor in Burlington, Vermont. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Theology from Mount St. Mary's University and completed her Master of Arts in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Junior Ring Mass

The Class of 2016 celebrated a milestone in their MDSA journey last night. They received their class rings. After Mass and a ceremony in the Chapel, the girls gathered for a reception in the Music Hall with friends and family! Congratulations, juniors!

Financial Aid Workshop for Parents

On Tuesday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m., Mount de Sales will host a Financial Aid Workshop for parents of students planning for college. Staff members from the Financial Aid Office at both Catholic University and UMBC will be present. Junior Ring Mass

Please keep our junior class in your prayers as they prepare to receive their rings at Mass tonight. Parents of the juniors are invited to attend the Junior Ring Mass 7 p.m. in the Chapel. The juniors will receive their class rings at the conclusion of Mass and a small reception will follow in the Music Hall. Due to our limited space we ask that each junior limit their guests attending the Mass to three or less.
