PINK OUT Volleyball Game
Join us on Tuesday, October 6, for our next PINK OUT athletic event! The JV and Varsity Volleyball team will be decked out in PINK for their match against John Carroll. There will be raffles and more to help raise funds and spread awareness for breast cancer. All proceeds will be donated to the Saint Agnes Breast Cancer patients and families in need. Wear PINK, get ready to cheer on the Sailors, and help defeat cancer! JV starts at 4 p.m. and Varsity follows at 5:30 p.m.

The Parents' Club is busy preparing for the annual Christmas Bazaar and Spaghetti Dinner and they are in need of assistance for the Silent Auction. Each homeroom is assigned a "Theme Basket" and students are asked to help fill the baskets with items related to the theme. Please see the documents below for further details. MDSA Campus Minister to speak at the World Meeting of Families
It is a true honor to have Campus Minister Megan Mastroianni speak today at 3 p.m. at the World Meeting of Families 2015 Youth Congress. Please pray for her and the MDSA families who are traveling to Philadelphia for this monumental event and for Pope Francis' first visit to the U.S.
Back-to-School Night TONIGHT!
Back-to-School Night is TONIGHT! Please note the change in time from the previous scheduled date. The evening will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the Gym.
On Monday, September 28, school will begin at 10 a.m. We will follow a two-hour delay schedule to allow an extra two hours in the morning for those in our community who are attending the Papal Mass in Philadelphia. Please note the school building will not be open for students until 9 a.m.
Graduation Gown and Announcements
Attention Senior Parents The Class of 2016 voted on their graduation dress on Wednesday, September 9. They selected a lovely white chiffon dress that costs $210.94 (tax included). Payment is due in full at the time of the dress fittings. Payment can be made by cash, charge, or a check made out to "Love it at Stella’s Bridal and Fashions". Love it at Stella's Bridal & Fashions will be at school on October 30 for the dress fittings. Each senior will receive an appointment time to come to the Bird Room for their dress fitting that school day starting at 7 a.m. Mothers are welcome to come join their daughters as they get measured and try on their graduation dresses. Appointment schedules will be coming out sometime in early October. Josten’s Graduation Announcement orders are due by October 2. Please note that these MDSA announcements are customized and cannot be ordered after the deadline.

The patriotic mixer last Friday was a blast with a fire truck, photo booth, and an array of red, white, and blue!
Cross Country Team Shines at the Spiked Shoe Invitational
The varsity Cross Country team came in second place at the 64th Annual Spiked Shoe Invitational held at Stevenson University on Sat., Sept. 12. Congratulations to 6th place winner Kelly Szalankiewicz ’17 with a time of 20:39.93 and to Samantha Facius ’19 who came in 9th with a time of 20:52.17. So proud of our Sailors!
MDSA Races in the Nun Run
MDSA sailors, sisters, faculty, staff, and parents had an awesome time at the Nun Run today. All proceeds benefit the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Martin’s House. Great job!

Baltimore County Schools are closing two hours early today, Sept. 9, due to extreme heat. However, MDSA will continue classes until 2:30 p.m. dismissal. All after school athletics are canceled today.

Field Hockey Wins Centennial Tournament!
Over the weekend, the Mount de Sales Varsity Field Hockey team won the Centennial Tournament for the fourth year in a row. The Sailors beat Towson 6-2 and Leonardstown 4-0. Way to go, Sailors!
Back-to-School Night Rescheduled
The front entrance to MDSA is CLOSED due to delivery truck damage to the Gatehouse. Therefore, all traffic will use the back gate only. Back-to-School Night will be RESCHEDULED for a future date.
The first MDSA school mixer is on Friday, September 11 featuring a patriotic theme! Wear red, white, and blue and sport your stars and stripes. The tickets are $5 and will be available for purchase during both lunches from September 8 to September 11. No tickets will be sold at the door.
We are looking forward to seeing all the parents at Back to School Night, Thursday at 6 p.m. Spend time getting to know your daughter's teachers and learn more about the upcoming year at MDSA!
