Welcome, Class of 2020!

Thursday evening, we welcomed the Class of 2020 and their families at Accepted Students Night! Girls socialized, enjoyed an ice cream social and listened to dynamic speakers, including Campus Minister Megan Mastroianni. An informative parent session was held in the Chapel of St. Francis de Sales followed by a reception in the Music Hall. We’re overjoyed to welcome our newest Sailors!

Communion Breakfast

The Annual Communion Breakfast, hosted by the MDSA Parents' Club, will be held on Sunday, March 13. Mass is at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Francis de Sales, followed immediately by a delicious breakfast.

Farewell, Mr. Wright!

We said goodbye to an esteemed teacher at Mount de Sales Academy. Mr. George Wright, who taught at MDSA for almost 18 years, celebrated his final day at school last Friday."He was a selfless, giving, and kind teacher, and friend to all who knew him," shared former student and current MDSA teacher Jessica Ames Nyman '01. He will be missed, but we wish him well in his retirement. He was presented with a beautiful memory book with reflections from colleagues and former students.

New York Trip Results in MDSA Records and National Qualifiers!

While most of the student body enjoyed a day off on Friday, February 12, members of the Mount de Sales indoor track team traveled to the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City where they set two school records and qualified athletes for the national high school championships next month.

First-Round Basketball Championship Game Moved!

Cheer Squad Named National Champions!

Congratulations to the Cheer team! The team placed 1st at the Battle at the Capitol competition this weekend and was named National Champions! This is the second competition within the last two weeks where the team brought home the 1st place trophy. We are so proud! Go Sailors!

4th Annual Pink Out Games

Despite the blizzard and having to reschedule the game, the 4th Annual Pink Out game was held on Feb. 3. Congrats to the varsity team who defeated St. John's Catholic Prep, 59-50. Way to go, Sailors!

Nashville Trip to the Dominican Motherhouse

The Nashville Trip to the Dominican Motherhouse will be from Thursday, March 31 to Sunday, April 3. This is an amazing opportunity to visit and pray with the sisters and perform service in downtown Nashville. The cost is $200. Some scholarships will be available if students would like to come but cannot afford this. Permission slips due to Sister Angela Marie by Wednesday, February 24. An informational meeting will be held during Study Hall on Monday, February 8. New Date for the Pink Out!
