Seven Students Named as National Merit® Program Commendees
We proudly announce that seven young women from the Class of 2017 have been named Commended Students in the National Merit® Scholarship Program. The recipients are as follows:
Field Hockey Team Ranked in the Top 20
The varsity field hockey team is ranked #20 in the state after a big 3-2 win over Catonsville High School on Monday, September 26.
The Alumnae Association is selling Homecoming tickets and t-shirts every day this week during both lunches! $15 for single, $20 for couple, $18 for a t-shirt. All proceeds benefit Alumnae Association Scholarships! ⚓️⛵️
Sacred Heart Program benefits from Golf Classic
On Monday, September 26, Annie Wright '19 and Mackenzie Baynes '19 participated in the 14th Annual Morgan Family Foundation Golf Classic at the Country Club of Maryland. The Morgan Family Foundation uses this event to provide funding to programs for students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities.
Clubs Assembly held today!
A Clubs Assembly was held today in the Music Hall. Students join clubs to have fun, make friends, pursue a passion, and explore potential career paths. We welcome the creativity and evolving interests of our students by giving them the opportunity to establish new clubs. Every club maintains a faculty or staff moderator who serves as a mentor to the club members and facilitates club activities.
The MDSA Homecoming Dance is on Friday, September 30 from 7-10 p.m.
MDSA Field Hockey wins Centennial Tournament!
Over the weekend, the Mount de Sales Varsity Field Hockey team won the 19th annual Centennial Tournament for the fifth year in a row. The Sailors beat Centennial High School 3-2 and Towson High School 2-0. Way to go, Sailors!
Sailors Support the Sisters!!
Members of the MDSA community had a wonderful time at the Little Sisters of the Poor 3rd Annual Nun Run on Saturday, September 10. We were thrilled to win the “Flying Nun Award” for most participants in a group. That’s the Sailor spirit!

New Athletic Director at MDSA!
Meet Adam Noto, the new Athletic Director for Mount de Sales. Adam has a master’s degree in sport administration, and has worked with athletic programs in both the college and high school setting. Most recently, he served as the Athletic Director for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Baltimore.
Welcome to our new Volunteer Coordinator!
We enthusiastically welcome our new Volunteer Coordinator, Kim Dignan P’12 ’14, who will be responsible for recruiting volunteers and managing activities that support the mission of the MDSA Advancement Office. She will serve as the liaison for the Parents’ Club, Dads with Grads, 1852 Crew, and other MDSA volunteer groups.
