17-Minute Prayer Service

17-Minute Prayer Service

Our students organized and came together for a quiet and thought-provoking prayer service this morning. The 17-minute prayer service was a response of unity for those who died in the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida. In this countercultural union of faith and social issues, students remembered every victim by reading their name, lighting a candle, and observing one minute of silence as we prayed for each of the 17 students and their families. Thank you to Gabby Rivas-DeLeon ‘19, Josie Hyde ‘18, and Emma Jendrick ’18 for arranging this service.
