In collaboration with the Religion and Social Science Departments, the Portfolio classes embarked on a different type of art exhibit.
"My students were given the task of thinking what circumstance would totally put them outside of their normal comfort zone. In other words, what would happen if their whole world were torn apart due to circumstances beyond their control. The issue they finally settled on was war...They were to visually represent a primary source account that had to come from a teenager or child from a period of global conflict with the hope that their image would stir some sense of empathy in the viewer. Our time frame ranged from WWI right on up to today's Syrian conflict." -Eileen Clements, Portfolio Teacher and Art Department Chair
