Former Baltimore Raven - O.J. Brigance to speak at Athletic Hall of Fame Night

The Mount de Sales Academy Athletic Department will host the 2012 Athletic Hall of Fame Night on Saturday, November 10 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  The distinguished guest for the evening is the inspirational Mr. O.J. Brigance,championship football player in both the Canadian and the National Football Leagues. He joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2000 where he played in 16 games and won a Super Bowl ring. He is now involved with the Baltimore Ravens as Senior Advisor to Player Development. Mr. Brigance was diagnosed in 2007 with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a motor neuron disease and is determined to help win the fight against this disease.

The Athletic Hall of Fame seeks to recognize the outstanding achievements of past MDSA coaches and athletes with a new class inducted every two years.   The 2012 MDSA Hall of Fame Inductees are as follows:

  • Coach Hank Hofmeister, Basketball
  • Dr. Cynthia Clark ’02, Swimming and Softball
  • Ms. Sharon Birkett ’86, Basketball
  • Mrs. Jenny Held Miller ’89, Basketball and Lacrosse
  • Dr. Linda Justice Teodosio ’79, Basketball and Lacrosse
  • Mrs. Susan Devlin Switzer ’60, Basketball
  • 1985 Lacrosse Team
