Mount de Sales Academy selected as a 2018-2019 Microsoft Showcase School  

Mount de Sales Academy was selected  as a 2018-2019 Microsoft Showcase School for their excellence in demonstrated student outcomes resulting from its commitment to educational transformation. 
  
Mount de Sales Academy joins an exclusive community from around the world, recognized and celebrated for their educational transformation which includes vision and innovation in teaching, learning and assessment, computational and critical thinking, creativity and collaboration and a willingness to promote a growth mindset among educators and students.  

Additionally, Lindsey Murphy, director of faculty development at MDSA, was recognized as a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert. Each year, Microsoft selects innovative educators to share ideas, try new approaches and learn from each other as a global community dedicated to improving student outcomes through technology. As an MIE Expert, educators build their capacity for using technology in both the classroom and curriculum to improve student learning. They also advise Microsoft and educational institutions on how to integrate technology in pedagogically sound ways, and advocate at conferences, events and trainings for how Microsoft technology can improve learning.

Lindsey Murphy shares, “At Mount de Sales we are honored and proud to be recognized as a Microsoft Showcase School for the 2018-2019 school year. As a school we are dedicated to the meaningful use of technology to engage students while continuing to emphasize the development of interpersonal skills and human relationships. We look forward to sharing our experiences with other schools and broadening our students' global awareness and connectedness.”
