London Smith

London Smith is a 2016 graduate of Mount de Sales Academy, where she was actively involved in Ambassador Club, Mock Trial, Chorus, Spanish Club, and Campus Ministry. It was through the rich community and spiritual formation at MDSA that her faith grew in a profound and deeply personal way, ultimately leading to her conversion to the Catholic Church in January of 2022. Empowered by both her academic and spiritual journey at Mt. de Sales, she continued her education at Saint Vincent College, majoring in Criminal Justice with a Pre-Law focus. The strong foundation she received at MDSA not only prepared her for success in college but also equipped her with the wisdom to recognize her true vocation as a Catholic school educator and to pursue continued education with a Master’s in Teaching. Today, she serves as a fifth-grade religion and social studies teacher at The Immaculate Conception School, where she strives each day to share the joy and love of Christ with her students and fellow faculty members. Each day she draws on the same joy, depth, and love of the faith that she first encountered here at Mount de Sales. Her greatest hope is that her students will discover—as she did—the beauty of a faith that continues to guide, strengthen, and empower at every step of their life’s journey, so that they may walk boldly in God’s calling for their lives. London is grateful to return home to Mount de Sales as the retreat speaker, sharing with her Sailor sisters the profound impact that MDSA’s community, formation, and spiritual life continues to have on her journey. It is her deepest hope that we, as God’s daughters, may encounter Christ in a way that deepens our faith, strengthens our trust, and brings into focus His presence in our everyday lives.
