Retreats + Opportunities

Come away by yourselves and rest awhile.
- Mark 6:31
Mount de Sales offers a wealth of spiritual activities for the students to participate in their faith.  These are mainly hosted through the Campus Ministry Office.  Also, a few extra-curricular clubs that promote the integration of faith and life are hosted at Mount de Sales.

  • Small Things; Great Love

    Hello Sailors!

During this time while we are away from campus, it can be hard to feel connected to your class and to the MDSA community. For the next few weeks, I will be sending out something to you each day from Campus Ministry to help lift your spirits and keep you feeling connected to the Lord and to this community. If you have any ideas of things you might like to see please send them my way!

  • The Art of Letter Writing

    Hello Sailors,

I think one of the most difficult challenges we are asked to face in this time of quarantine is isolation. While computers and phones are a huge gift, many people who do not have copious amounts of technology are left feeling more alone than ever.

What do I suggest as a remedy to this problem, you may ask? Letters. Since we have so much time on our hands, this can be an amazing opportunity for us to take the time to write a good old-fashioned letter to someone who may be feeling particularly lonely during this pandemic. Reading a hand-written letter speaks intentionality and care to the receiver, even more than a thoughtful text ever could. And who doesn’t love getting stuff in the mail, am I right?!

  • The Gratitude Challenge

    Hello Sailors,

These past few weeks have been quite an adventure to say the least! While it has been difficult to be away from our normal schedules, God is still present with us as we work to figure out new routines. This is a very challenging season for each of us, but God is still good and He loves you immensely!

Today I would like to invite you to participate in the “Gratitude Challenge.”
