  • St. Francis de Sales Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Amount: Half-tuition or quarter-tuition/year
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met
    Extra application needed: No
    These scholarships are awarded solely based on High School Placement Test scores. All applicants are automatically eligible.

  • St. Thomas Aquinas Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Amount: $2,500/year
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met
    Extra application needed: No
    These scholarships are awarded solely based on High School Placement Test scores. All applicants are automatically eligible.
  • Golden Counsel Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Amount: $1,000/year
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met
    Extra application needed: No
    These scholarships are awarded to applicants who exhibit high achievement. All applicants are automatically eligible.
  • Service Leaderships Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Amount: $2,500/year
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met
    Extra application needed: One-page, one-sided list of service and leadership activities.
    These scholarships are awarded to applicants who exhibit service/leadership qualities.
  • St. Cecilia Music Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Video links and student information due to the Admissions Office by December 20, 2019
    Amount: $1,000/year
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met
    Application Requirements: ​Submit an audition request and/or a video of student playing/singing by December 20, 2019 to the Admissions Office with:

    • Student's name
    • Student's school
    • If student is auditioning for vocal or instrumental (if applicable, which instrument)
    • Number of years student has been playing/singing
    • Number of years student has taken private lessons
    • Name of music teacher

    Videos must be sent electronically using methods such as a link to a video through Google, Vimeo, or Youtube (you can make videos private). Recital videos or practice videos are acceptable.
    Admissions will arrange auditions for students who request them with Music Director Jeff Hosier. Applicants should prepare for:
    A brief musical performance of excerpts from two contrasting pieces of music that best demonstrate your abilities
    An interview to determine your musical resume and theoretical background
    Please note: Being invited to audition does NOT indicate an admissions or scholarship decision.
  • Fra Angelico Art Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Portfolios due to the Admissions Office (or dropped off at reception) by December 20, 2019
    Amount: $1,000/year
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met

  • St. Martin de Porres Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Essays due to the Admissions Office by December 20, 2019
    Amount: $1,500/year to qualifying recipients
    Renewable: Each year if requirements are met
    Application Requirements: Submit essay written from this prompt: Describe how your Hispanic/Latina heritage has contributed to your personal identity and view of life. Essays must be typed and include the applicant’s name.
    Special Requirement: Applicants must be of Hispanic/Latina ethnicity
    This scholarship was established for Hispanic/Latina students through the generosity of Dr. and Mrs. Ivan H. Garcia.

  • Guardian of Life Scholarship

    Recipients: Incoming freshmen
    Amount: $2,500/year
    Renewable: Yes

    Extra application needed: Essay, project proposal, and letters of recommendation.
    Special Requirement: Applicants must be Catholic. The Guardians of Life Scholarship is awarded to a student whose essay and project proposal promote a better understanding and non-violent initiatives to protect the unborn and help young women in need.

  • Semper Fi Scholarship

    Applications due to the Business Office by January 1, 2020
    Please note that Mount de Sales is on Christmas Break when Semper Fi applications are due. In-person delivery will not be possible during this break. Application submissions will be processed once classes resume in January 2020.
    Recipients: Incoming freshmen, rising sophomores, rising juniors, and rising seniors
    Amount: Allocated by selection committee
    Renewable: Possibly. Annual application required.
    Extra application needed: Application, parent essay, student essay, parish and pastor documentation, and completion of FACTS application.
    Special Requirement: Applicants must be practicing Catholics who meet requirements listed on the scholarship application. Students grades 9-12 may apply for a Semper Fi Scholarship.

    The Semper Fi Scholarship is established in memory of the many Marines who have remained “always faithful” to God, country and the Corps, and to acknowledge and support those Catholic families who have been faithful to living their Catholic faith.
  • Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship

    The Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship Fund recognizes significant contributions of teachers and administrators in Catholic Schools by supporting the education of their dependent children in memory of Colleen and Erin Marlatt.

    The Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship Fund is open to high school students who attend a Catholic high school or college students attending University of Maryland College Park.

    The Applicant must be the dependent child of a full-time teacher or administrator with at least three years’ experience, currently serving at a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Visit www.colleenanderin.org
  • Knott Scholarship Funds

    The Knott Scholarship Funds award four-year, full-tuition scholarships to attend a Catholic high school located in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, or Howard counties. These scholarships look to honor Catholic students who excel in academics. To apply for these scholarships the student MUST meet ALL of the criteria.   • Maryland Knights of Columbus

    The Maryland State Council of the Knights of Columbus is the sponsor of high school scholarships for members' children (3) and for Catholic Students in general (3). Awards may be applied to tuition payments only. Visit http://www.kofc-md.org/state1820/scholarships.asp for descriptions, application information and eligibility. The application period is from October 1, 2018 to February 1, 2019. All applicants must be received by the Scholarship Committee no later than Feburary 1, 2019.
  • Parish Resource

    Families are encouraged to check with their parishes regarding the possibility of limited tuition assistance for Catholic students attending Catholic schools.
  • The Theresa F. Truschel Charitable Foundation

    The Theresa F. Truschel Charitable Foundation’s mission to provide scholarships to students attending Catholic schools at all levels within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Visit https://sites.google.com/site/theresaftruschel/home.

    Some scholarship opportunities arise for current Mount de Sales students. When application information for these scholarships becomes available, current families are notified.
