• Do you offer tuition assistance?

  Yes. While we offer need-based tuition assistance to help make our school more accessible, families are expected to plan carefully and make financially responsible decisions when considering enrollment. Our tuition assistance program is designed to supplement, not replace, a family’s primary financial responsibility. 

• What is tuition for the 2026–2027 school year?

  Tuition for the 2026–2027 academic year is $20,800.

• Is there an additional fee for the Sacred Heart Program?

  An additional fee of $5,200 (in addition to school tuition) is applicable to students in the Sacred Heart Program.

• Are there additional fees beyond tuition?

  Misc. School Fees: Fees for retreat, Advanced Placement (A/P) Courses, and any other necessary fees are charged periodically during the school year utilizing the FACTS Incidental payment system.
  
  Textbook and Consumables Fees: Mount de Sales will purchase textbooks and charge a rental fee for usage each year. This fee is included in the enrollment/re-enrollment agreement for the school year. Families are responsible for purchasing curriculum-specific workbooks, novels and reference materials (consumables). These items are not included in the textbook rental fee of the annual enrollment agreement. For freshmen, an estimated consumables cost is around $200.
  
  Athletic Fee: Fees are charged per sport, per student-athlete. They are charged separately each season after rosters are finalized.
  
  Graduation Fee (seniors only): Charged the spring of senior year prior to graduation. This fee does not include the cost of the graduation dress.

• When is tuition due?

  Tuition payments are collected through FACTS starting on July 1 each year. Single annual payment, two payment, four payment, and ten payment plans for tuition are offered. All families are required to have an account with FACTS for payment of tuition and school related fees, even if paying by single payment.

• How do I apply for tuition assistance?

  Families wishing to be considered for tuition assistance must submit an application to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment annually. This includes applicant families and current families. Applications are available online via the FACTS website. Click here for application instructions. 

• When are tuition assistance applications due?

  To be considered for 2027-2028 tuition assistance, families must submit a FACTS application by December 11, 2026. Late applications will be considered as funds permit.

• When will I know if my family has been awarded tuition assistance?

  Families who have applied for tuition assistance and/or scholarships from Mount de Sales will be notified of any awards granted in their acceptance and enrollment package (incoming students) and re-enrollment agreements (returning families) in February each year. 

• Do I have to reapply for tuition assistance each year?

  Yes. Because financial circumstances can change, families must reapply annually to be considered for assistance.

• Will applying for tuition assistance affect my daughter’s admission decision?

  No. The admissions process is need-blind, meaning your application for tuition assistance is reviewed separately and does not impact your daughter’s eligibility for admission.

• Do the school rankings on the High School Placement Test have any bearing on tuition assistance and/or scholarship applications?

  Mount de Sales considers school rankings during tuition assistance application reviews, but it is not the sole determining factor. School rankings have no bearing on scholarship applications. Each scholarship committee is blind to this information. 

• Are scholarships available in addition to tuition assistance?

  Yes. We offer merit-based scholarships for academic achievement, leadership, and/or other talents. Some scholarships require separate applications, which are reviewed by a designated committee. Click here to learn about scholarship opportunities.

• Do you offer scholarships or tuition assistance for athletics?

  No. Scholarships and tuition assistance are not awarded solely for extracurriculars like athletics. We offer merit-based scholarships to recognize academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and dedication to service in the classroom, community and/or on the field.

• Do you accept scholarships from third parties?

  Yes, we accept scholarships from third parties, such as parish organizations. 

• What happens if my family experiences unexpected financial hardship during the school year?

  We understand that life circumstances can change. Families are encouraged to contact the Business Office directly to discuss options. In some cases, emergency aid or payment plan adjustments may be available.

• Can we use funds from a 529 Plan for K-12 private school tuition?

  Yes, you can use a 529 plan to help pay for K-12 private school tuition. Please consult with your tax and/or financial planning advisor for more information on options available.
