Sailors for Service

Over the summer, MDSA parents Jacqui Magnes ’86 and Bruce Howard organized a Sailors for Service trip. The team worked with the Greater Greenbriar Long Term Recovery Center (GGLTRC) to rebuild White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia after the devastating flood of June 2016.

MDSA Science Teacher Suzanna Ribblett participates in U.S. Naval Academy Maury Project Workshop

Every summer, Suzanna Ribblett, science teacher at Mount de Sales, participates in a professional development workshop. This workshop, known as the Maury Project Workshop, is offered by the U.S. Naval Academy and seeks to further educate teachers about aspects of physical oceanography.

Track Team Excels at New Balance Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Eight Mount de Sales athletes competed in the New Balance Outdoor National High School Track and Field Championships at North Carolina A&T University, and came away with outstanding performances. Results from all five events that the Sailors ran in Greensboro, North Carolina, June 16, 17, 18, ended up on the MDSA top 10 performance list.

SeaPerch Nationals

Seniors Maria LeMonnier, Emma Olszewski, Maddy Selby and Mystee Delgado attended the 2017 SeaPerch National Challenge trip in Atlanta, GA this past weekend. The girls enjoyed the competition at Georgia Tech and were able to visit the amazing Georgia Aquarium after the competition! Overall, a great weekend! Congratulations, Sharkbait team!
