Giving to Mount de Sales

Your support helps us continue our mission of providing an atmosphere in which young women can develop to their fullest potential in all areas: spiritual, intellectual, cultural, physical and social. There are a variety of ways you can support the school.

  • Credit Card

    Please click here to make your credit gift online gift now!  If you prefer, you can contact the Development Office at 410.744.8498. 
  • Pledges and Recurring Gifts

    Yearly, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly payment schedules can be arranged for your convenience. These can be done through automatic credit card payments or with pledge reminders. To set up a pledge or recurring gift, contact the Development Office.
  • Gifts of Stock / Appreciated Securities

    If you own appreciated securities, that have been held for more than twelve months, and and would like to give them as a gift to Mount de Sales Academy, transfers are simple and can provide additional tax benefits.

    To make a gift of stock or appreciated securities, contact Claire M. Cohagan '78, director of development, at ccohagan@mountdesales.org or 410.744.8498 ext. 126, and you will be provided with current transfer information, which can be shared with your broker.
  • Planned Giving

    A planned gift allows an individual to make a contribution, which can afford significant tax benefits and enhance financial security. The same planned gift can also make a lasting contribution to the endowment of Mount de Sales Academy. A typical vehicle for making a planned gift would be a will, trust or life insurance policy.

  • Employer Matching Gifts

    Did you know that some companies will match their employees’ charitable gifts dollar-for-dollar? Find out if your company will match your gift! Your human resources representative can tell you if your company has a matching gift program and provide instructions.
  • Gifts in Kind

    On occasion, Mount de Sales Academy can accept gifts in kind if they match with a need that we have at the time you wish to make your gift.  To find out more, please contact Elizabeth Saverino ’87, Director of Development, at esaverino@mountdesales.org or 410.744.8498 ext. 139.
  • Prayer

    We are deeply grateful to all those who support our mission with their spiritual gift of their prayers.
  • Service

    There are many opportunities to give your time and talent to serve Mount de Sales Academy, and we are always grateful for volunteers! If you would like to give to Mount de Sales by volunteering, contact Kim Dignan, volunteer coordinator, at kdignan@mountdesales.org or view our current volunteer opportunities and sign up today at mountdesales.thankyou4caring.org/volunteer.
Mount de Sales Academy receives many gifts in memory or honor of classmates, parents, friends and Dominican Sisters. Unless the memorial/honorarium gift is otherwise restricted, it is allocated to annual support.

Memorials and Honorariums

When making a gift in someone's memory or in honor of someone, simply make the check payable to Mount de Sales Academy and address the envelope:

Please include a note with the following information for each gift:
  1. Name of person being honored and occasion OR name of deceased (and date of death, if known).
  2. Name and address of honoree or surviving family member to whom notification of this gift should be sent.
  3. Your name, address and telephone number and amount of gift in order to provide you with a receipt for your taxes.

For a memorial gift, a letter will be sent to the surviving family member(s) mentioning the name and address of the donor, not the amount of the gift. In the case of an honorarium, a letter will be sent to the honoree mentioning the name and address of the donor, not the amount of the gift. The donor is mailed an acknowledgement letter and a receipt for tax purposes.

The memorial/honorarium will be published in the next issue of the Annual Report of Donors which recognizes gifts received within the July 1 – June 30 fiscal year.
