Margie Hook Nicholson ‘77

Margie was named a basketball High School All-American, third team her senior year when Mount de Sales Academy was ranked eighth nationally. Margie was named to the Baltimore Sunpapers first team All-Metro from 1975 through 1977. Additionally, during that time she was the 14th ranked “Under 18” tennis player in Maryland.

Playing varsity as guard for four years, Margie broke the all time MDSA basketball scoring mark as a junior and was the first Sailor to top the 1,000 point mark.
She also led her team to the Baltimore Archdiocesan basketball championship in 1977 while averaging 15 points per game.

Margie attended Flagler College in Florida on a basketball and tennis scholarship. She married Don Nicholson in 1983 and they have three children. She has been a tennis pro and coach and currently is the Assistant Administrator for New Beginnings Leadership in Bowie, Maryland.
