Christina Urban ‘99

Christina gave Mount de Sales Academy its second straight Sunpapers' All-Baltimore County/ City softball player of the year as in 1999 when she followed in Suzanne Smith Hampson’s footsteps. Christy was also named to the All-Metro team in ’99 and the City/County team in ’98 and ’99. Christy was named Sailor Athlete of the Year in 1999 for her role as a four year starting pitcher.

Holding the distinction of being the only Sailor to play on and coach a league championship team, Christy pitched MDSA to the Baltimore Archdiocesan Catholic League Softball Championship in 1998, and as an assistant coach to Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland title in 2004.

Christy was the recipient of an athletic scholarship to Fairfield University where she continued her pitching career. She was named a 2003 All-American Scholar Athlete. After graduation she was hired as the MDSA Director of Alumnae Relations. In 2007 she became the Student Leadership Action Coordinator at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. She loves to travel and takes at least one international trip each year!
