Cathy Fisher was a member of the Class of 1985 and was a member of both the basketball and lacrosse teams. As a two-sport athlete, she was a big part of two championship teams. For lacrosse she played midfield for the '85 AIS championship team. In basketball she was an integral member of the '85 Catholic League championship team, and she remains one of only five career 1000-point scorers in the history of MDSA basketball. She attended Marywood College in Pennsylvania and was a member of the women’s tennis team from 1986-1989 and was the only individual to qualify for the NCAA tournament in Marywood history. She was also a member of the 1986 women’s basketball team for Marywood College. In 1999 and was inducted into the Marywood Hall of Fame.

In 2009, Cathy was inducted into the College of Notre Dame’s Hall of Fame for her outstanding seven-year tennis coaching career and for her court contributions to many of her student athletes.

Sadly, in May of 2017 the Lord took her to her eternal resting place, and she is no longer with us. Accepting her award are two of her wonderful sisters, MaryLynne Ziegler and Nancy Thomas.
