Anchored in Excellence; Charting our Future Capital Campaign for MDSA
In order to assure the continued growth and success of Mount de Sales Academy, we need your help to contribute to its future. In 1985 the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia came to Mount de Sales, at that time a school with 201 students and a gaping debt. The Sisters remain committed to the mission of authentic Catholic education at Mount de Sales as they continue to serve the school both in administration and in teaching.
In record time, the Development Committee successfully raised the necessary funds for Phase I and the new convent, HVAC system and upgrades on our campus security measurers are complete.
Phase I - Complete
- Campus Security
Phase II - Complete
- Turf Field
We have completed raising funds for Phase II, a turf field with hillside seating for $1.7 million. All students have benefitted from the field, which has dramatically improved our Physical Education classes and overall campus life. Additionally, the Athletic Program has designated the field for maximum utilization by as many teams as possible.
Phase III- Expansion Project
This is an exciting time for Mount de Sales Academy. With excellent guidance and input from our Board of Trustees and Steering Committee, we are working to determine the feasibility of a future capital campaign. We envision a successful campaign that will allow us to fund the renovation of the fourth floor of our main building and also to build a Fine Arts Center. The estimated cost of these two projects is between $10 to $12 million.
Our vision has grown out of months of planning and subsequent consultations with members of our community. For a perspective on what we envision for a potential capital campaign, please view the Case for Support/ Q&A document. These items provide an excellent background and rationale for this proposed campaign.
