Cara Facchina Welch '10

Cara was named Mount de Sales Athlete of the Year both her junior and senior years as a triple-threat athlete. She was a four-time letter winner in basketball and tennis and three-time letter winner in lacrosse. She was a three-time team captain of the basketball team, three-time team captain of the tennis team, and one-time team captain of the lacrosse team. As the starting point guard, Cara led the basketball team in scoring her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons and was IAAM All-Conference three times, as well as a three-time team MVP. She was a Baltimore Sun All-Metro selection her junior season. As the #1 Singles tennis player for all four years, she was named two-time IAAM All-Conference and two-time team MVP.

In lacrosse, she was chosen to the IAAM All-Conference team in 2010. Cara received a scholarship to play lacrosse at The Ohio State University where she played from 2010 through 2014. She was selected as team captain in both her junior and senior seasons. She recorded over 100 career points and was a four-time OSU Scholar-Athlete, 4-time Academic All-Big-Ten, four-time Varsity letter winner, and one-time Buckeye Power Club Award recipient.
